This course describes what SCATS alarms and status changes are, and how an operator can interpret them to manage operation of the system via the SCATS Access application.

This course explains how operators can monitor the operation of SCATS and the traffic signals it manages, using the SCATS Access software application. 

In SCATS Concepts 1: SCATS Entities, you learnt about the five SCATS entities, and the role they play in the strategic control of traffic signals. The course begins with a recap of those entities, before introducing you to plans, why they are needed and how they are used by SCATS. You will then be introduced to the key settings that SCATS uses to coordinate sites within a subsystem, and between married subsystems.

Traffic signals are essential tools for managing traffic flow and ensuring safety at intersections. This course introduces the core concepts and terminology about traffic signals and their operation.

SCATS Access is the software that allows you to communicate with the SCATS Central Manager and SCATS Regions. This course will introduce you to the two main windows in SCATS Access and show you how to connect to the SCATS Central Manager.

This course introduces you to the underpinning knowledge and concepts relating to SCATS Cornerstone. You will also be introduced to the SCATS Cornerstone user interface (Cornerstone Editor), and the tools available to edit sites. This course follows on from the SCATS Cornerstone Fundamentals course. 

This course provides an overview of how traffic flow analysis can apply to SCATS, and how to perform traffic flow analysis tasks using SCATS Detector Counts Viewer and SCATS Traffic Reporter.
